Your Party: Education and SEND Provision

November 22 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Children with Special Educational Need and Disability (SEND) can currently be awarded an Education, Health, and Care plan (EHCP).

Without proper funding, staffing, training, staff to pupil ratios, in many schools educators struggle to deliver these plans.

Children and young people are not receiving the help they need and are entitled to. Parents and carers are frustrated by the failing system

Ahead of the Labour Government’s budget on 26 November the Chancellor Rachel Reeves says that ‘tough choices’ must be made. The Education Secretary Bridget Phillipson has pledged she ‘won’t shy away from difficult reforms’.

We know what ‘tough choices’ and ‘welfare reforms’ meant for disabled people. Campaigning and opposition to the cuts were effective.

Will cuts to funding and reforms to EHCP mean less children get help?

Parents and teachers will be speaking at this meeting

Lets campaign together for a better system of support
